Thank you to everyone that came along to our York and North Yorkshire 'New Beginnings' event.
The ‘New Beginnings’ programme combines sub-regional events around Yorkshire & Humber, with a bigger conference planned for late 2010. Funding for the programme comes primarily from Natural England with additional support from the Environment Agency, and in-kind support from Friends of the Earth.
‘New Beginnings’ is YHREF’s response to the dramatic changes in the decision-making landscape being introduced by the new Government. This York & North Yorkshire event was our second workshop examining the structures, the mood and the opportunities for improved sub-regional collaborations on environmental activity. This report also incorporates some observations from the previous workshop in Leeds City Region.
