The University of Sheffield's Doctoral Training Centre for Interdisciplinary Energy Research students will be presenting the results of their mini-projects, future PhD projects and the Carbon Challenge at our autumn conference in the Carlton Park Hotel, Rotherham, on the 13th and 14th of September.

Guest speakers will give talks on the challenges the scientific and industrial community faces in meeting a sustainable energy future.

Guest speakers are

  • Prof. Allan Jones, UK Director, EON New Build & Technology:- 'Powering a Low Carbon Future'
  • David Strahan, Journalist and Author of 'The Last Oil Shock':- 'Peak Oil, Climate Change and the World Beyond Oil'
  • Prof. Ian Bryden, Energy Systems Research Institute, University of Edinburgh:- 'Marine Energy'
  • Speaker from the Energy Technologies Institute TBC
